EGU General Assembly 2021

Date: 19-30 April 2021
Venue: online conference

The EGU General Assembly 2021 was held virtually from 19-30 April 2021. This year, Dr. Fabian Kneier and Thedini Asali Peiris (both from Goethe University, Frankfurt) showcased advanced results from the ongoing CO-MICC project in the form of PICO (Presenting Interactive COntent) presentations.Dr. Fabian Kneierā€™s presentation highlighted the main outcomes of the participatory process accompanying the development of the CO-MICC data and knowledge portal. This process involved stakeholders from the Maghreb region and Spain.

Thedini Asali Peiris demonstrated a simple approach for hydrological models that enables them to mimic the effect of active vegetation on potential evapotranspiration under climate change, thus improving computation of freshwater-related climate change hazards by hydrological models. This research was carried out as part of the CO-MICC project and is soon to be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal for publication.
